Simple Test Activation - To test with PrimeTest 50, all you need to do is connect to the device you are testing on and press the correct button. There are only three buttons on the PT50: one for Class I grounding equipment, one for Class II dual insulation equipment, and one for testing wires such as power cords

Light, portable design - Seaward's PrimeTest 50 fits comfortably in one hand, perfect for carrying between tests. No need to take the appliance to the tester; Thanks to the portability of the PT50, you can take the tester with you to the device

Pass/Fail indication - PrimeTest 50 does not show a full test reading - it simply shows if the device passed/failed the PAT test program. If you need full test readings, consider upgrading to PrimeTest 100

Built-in IEC and power outlet ports - the PT50 can be connected to various 3-pin plug devices as well as IEC power cords (e.g. laptop power cords)

Battery powered - This PAT tester runs on 6 AA batteries and does not need to be connected to an electrical outlet

Incorrect connection indication - PrimeTest 50 notifies you if you start the wrong test on the wrong device or forget to turn on the device while testing

What tests does PrimeTest 50 perform?

When you test, as soon as you press the test button,PrimeTest 50 automatically loops through the appropriate tests for the type of device connected to it

It can perform the following operations:

Ground Continuity testing - Using an IT-safe 200mA DC current ensures that you can safely inspect sensitive IT equipment

Insulation resistance test - Test voltage is 250/500V DC

IEC wire tests - Check ground continuity, insulation resistance and live/neutral continuity and polarity

Power outlet test - Plug the PT50 into the power outlet and it can even be used to check the socket wiring and power supply voltage
